Join the Wings This Spring for High-Level Skills Practices and Competitive Tournaments!

Many of you have expressed interest in extending the hockey season beyond February continuing to develop hockey skills, while also giving your children the opportunity to explore other sports or interests. To support multi-sport athletes, we’ve designed a flexible schedule that allows for one-day participation if two days don't fit into your spring calendar.

This year, we’re sharing this information earlier than ever to give you ample time to plan.

Program Focus:

Our Spring program will emphasize skill development, team concepts, power skating, stickhandling, and shooting. Based on the USA Hockey model, it will focus on; technical play and sport skills, tactical play and game IQ, physical play, fitness and athleticism.

Registration:

Registration is currently open to GSC members only until January 31. After that, it will open to all hockey participants. See registration details below.

Dates (March 31–May 30):

The program will run 9 weeks with opportunity for 1-2 touches a week.

• 1 day per week $765
• 2 days per week $1,350

Mites (U6/U8)

• Tuesday at CPCT, 5:00-6:00 PM - $765
• Friday at Terry Conners, 4:50-5:50 PM - $765
• Tuesday & Friday (CPCT & Terry Conners) - $1,350

Squirt (U10) & Peewee (U12)

• Monday at Terry Conners, 4:50-5:50 PM - $765
• Thursday at CPCT, 5:00-6:00 PM - $765
• Monday & Thursday (Terry Conners & CPCT) - $1,350

Bantam (U14) & Midget (U16)

• Tuesday at Terry Conners, 4:50-5:50 PM - $765
• Wednesday at Terry Conners, 4:50-5:50 PM - $765
• Tuesday & Wednesday (Terry Conners) - $1,350

Tournaments:

Players can sign up for 2 tournaments (April–June) at an additional cost. All tournaments will be locally held. Details on dates, locations, pricing, and team selection are being finalized and will be shared after the holidays.

Coaching Staff:

Our Spring program will be led by the experienced, USA Hockey certified GSC coaching staff. Your child will benefit from working with coaches they know and trust, allowing for personalized development and continuity from the regular season. The program will be grounded in our ERA values and culture, ensuring a positive, supportive environment for all participants.

FAQ:

• Do I have to sign up for Spring hockey, and will it affect my child’s Fall/Winter team placement?
• No, participation is optional and the Spring program is entirely disassociated from our team placement and try-out process. 
• Can I sign up for tournaments only?
• Yes, players can sign up for tournaments based on their availability for the weekends they are offered.
